Anzac Cove

Anzac Cove

Cove on the west coast of the Gallipoli peninsula in Turkey where Australian and New Zealand troops landed on 25 April 1915 during World War I. The name was adopted a few days after the landing. In 1990 it was the site of an international gathering to mark the 75th anniversary of the event.
