Apollodoros

Apollodoros (lived late 5th century BC)

Greek painter, active in Athens. He introduced some innovations in perspective and seems to have been the first Greek painter to study light and shade. His works included an Odysseus and Ajax Struck by Lightning by Minerva, which the Roman writer Pliny admired.

Apollodoros was the master of Zeuxis.
