Apple Valley

Town in San Bernardino County, southwest California, USA; population (1990) 46,100. It is situated to the north of the San Bernardino Mountains, in the Apple Valley, a southwest extension of the Mojave Desert, 42 km/26 mi north-northeast of San Bernardino. A rapidly expanding residential suburb of the Los Angeles region, it has grown from a population of under 7,000 in 1970.

Apple Valley

Town in Dakota County, southeast Minnesota, USA; population (1990) 34,600. It is a suburb 19 km/12 mi south of Minneapolis, and has experienced both residential and commercial growth since the 1960s. It is the site of the Minnesota Zoo.
