Apra Harbor

Town in west Guam, and unincorporated territory of the USA; population (1990 est) 8,000. It is situated 8 km/5 mi west-southwest of Hagåẗa, on the Philippine Sea. A Spanish port dating from the mid 16th century, it is today the major US military port in the west Pacific. Its large protected harbour is also the centre of Guam's maritime commerce.
