Arden

Town in New Castle County, north Delaware, USA; population (1990) 500. It is situated 2 km/1.5 mi south of the Pennsylvania line, and 10 km/6 mi northeast of Wilmington, on Naamans Creek. The community was founded in 1900 as a Single Tax colony by a group of artists and artisans opposed to private land ownership. It is now primarily residential.
