Ardnacrusha

Ardnacrusha

Site of a hydroelectric power station on the River Shannon in County Clare, Republic of Ireland. It was built in 1925–29 and is the largest of ten such plants in the republic. The power station makes use of the 33-m/108-ft fall from the lough to sea level.
