Arianna

Opera by Benedetto Marcello (libretto V Cassani), composed in 1727 but never performed in Marcello's lifetime. It was edited by O Chilesotti in 1885 and first produced at the Liceo Benedetto Marcello, Venice, Italy, on 27 April 1913.

Also an opera by Handel (Arianna in Creta, libretto adapted from P Pariati's Arianna e Teseo), first produced at the King's Theatre, Haymarket, London, England, on 26 January 1734. It concerns Theseus and the Minotaur, with a love subplot.
