Aristonicus

Aristonicus (died 128 BC)

Illegitimate son of Eumenes II of Pergamum. On the death of Attalus III of Pergamum 133 BC, Aristonicus claimed the throne. Having defeated the Roman consul Publius Licinius Crassus 131, he was himself defeated and taken prisoner the following year by the consul Marus Perperna, and executed in Rome.
