Armani, Giorgio (1934– )Italian fashion designer. He launched his first menswear collection in 1974 and the following year started designing women's clothing. His work is known for understated styles and fine fabrics. He pioneered the ‘unstructured jacket’ and the ‘power suit’ for both men and women during the 1980s. His designs are marketed under different labels, from exclusive models to the less expensive diffusion range. |
