Armenian

Member of the largest ethnic group inhabiting Armenia. There are Armenian minorities in Azerbaijan (see Nagorno-Karabakh), as well as in Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, and Iran. Christianity was introduced to the ancient Armenian kingdom in the 3rd century. There are 4–5 million speakers of Armenian, which belongs to the Indo-European family of languages.
