Armstrong, Harry George

Armstrong, Harry George (1899–1983)

US physician and airman. Commissioned in the Medical Reserve Corps in 1929, he opted to specialize in the new field of aviation medicine. He was air surgeon, US 8th Air Force, in England during World War II and became surgeon general of the US Air Force in 1949.
