Opera by Verdi (libretto by Francesco Maria Piave), first produced at the Teatro Nuovo, Rimini, Italy, on 16 August 1857. It was a revision of Stiffelio (1850).

Present for the laying of the foundation stone (see photograph) were Aroldo Cappelletti, Chairman of Corima; Dario Anatrini, Technical Manager and Director of Corima; Corima Mechanical Production Manager and Director, Mauro Pometti; Marchesini Group Managing Director, Maurizio Marchesini; and Giuseppe Monti, Marchesini Group Technical Manager and Director.
Aroldo, carrying the colours of Sir Robert Ogden, was 15 lengths back in third.
The Brazil situation was presented by a panel representing some of the leading roasting companies: Murilio Lobo Filho of Sara Lee, Sidney Leone of Cafe Bom Dia and Aroldo Cardoso of Cafe Jardim.
