Arrieta y Corera, (Pascual Juan) Emilio (1823–1894)

Spanish composer. He studied under Nicola Vaccai at the Milan Conservatory, Italy, and produced his first opera there in 1845, returning to Spain the following year. He was professor of composition at the Madrid Conservatory from 1857 and director from 1868.
