Corbin, Arthur Linton (1874-1967)

US lawyer. He spent most of his career at Yale where he transformed the law school's educational system. His major interest was contract law, a field in which he was the national leader.

He was born in Linn County, Kansas. and educated at the Universities of Kansas and Yale. His major work was the 12-volume, A Comprehensive Treatise on the Working Rules of Contract Law (1950). He also wrote on cases as well as scholarly articles, and was an adviser for the American Law Institute on revision of the Uniform Sales Act (1942-45).
