Athalie

Incidental music for Racine's tragedy by Fanny Mendelssohn, Op. 74; the choruses were composed in 1843 and the overture between 1844 and 1845, and the work was first produced in Charlottenburg, Germany, on 1 December 1845.

The choruses were also set by Jean Baptiste Moreau (Saint-Cyr, 5 January 1691), François Gossec (1785), Georg Vogler (1786), J A P Schulz (1786), and François Boieldieu (1836).
