Athenagoras (lived 2nd century AD)

Greek teacher and writer, best known for his defence of Christianity Legatio pro Christianis, which was addressed to the Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius Antoninus.

Athenagoras was born in Athens, and taught there and at Alexandria. He is also thought to be the author of a treatise on the resurrection of the body.
