Attleborough

Market town in Norfolk, England, 24 km/15 mi southwest of Norwich; population (2001) 9,600. Its main industries are turkey-rearing and cider-making. In the 14th century Attleborough had a college of the Holy Cross, and its parish church contains some Norman remains; a fire destroyed much of the town in 1559.
