Awe

River in Argyll and Bute unitary authority, Scotland. Fed by the waters of Loch Awe, the river flows about 8 km/5 mi through the Pass of Brander before entering Loch Etive. Hydroelectricity is generated above Loch Awe at the Cruachan Dam, and the river provides excellent salmon and trout fishing.
