Axbridge

Axbridge

Town in Somerset, England, 15 km/9 mi west of Wells; population (2001) 2,000. It was created a borough by Edward the Confessor, and was the base from which Saxon and Norman kings traditionally hunted for stags in the Mendip Hills.

Brothers Luke, 21, Alan, 23, and John Bridge, 25,of Barnes Road, Widnes, along with James Anthony Boffey, 25, formerly of Fazakerley, Adam Blowes, 19, of Pennard Avenue, Huyton, and Adam Eden, 19, of Axbridge, St Helens, appeared at Halton Magistrates Court yesterday, charged with conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary.
They then lived in a caravan in Wooler and a house in Axbridge Gardens, Benwell.
A second house was raided in Axbridge Court, but no drugs were found at the address.
