Aylmer

Town in the Outaouais Urban Community, southwest Québec, Canada; population (1991) 32,200. It is situated in the National Capital Region, next to Hull, and stands on Lake Deschênes in the Ottawa River. The town was created in 1975 by merging Aylmer, Lucerne, and Deschênes, and is a residential suburb noted for its golf courses.
