Bäck, Sven-Erik (1919-1994)

Swedish composer and violinist. He studied composition with Rosenberg at the Stockholm Conservatory 1940-44, and later at the Schola Cantorum, in Basel. His early music favoured neoclassicism, but he later worked in the 12-note style and in electronic media.

Ett Spel om Maria; a scenic oratorio; violin concerto; two string quartets; string quintet; songs and piano music.
