Oratorio by César Franck for solo voices, chorus, and orchestra (words from the Bible), composed 1869-79 and first performed privately by Franck's pupils at his house on 20 February 1879 (piano accompaniment), and in public after his death, in Dijon, France, on 15 June 1891.
