Béroff, Michel (1950- )

French pianist. He studied at the Paris Conservatory with Yvonne Loriod, the wife of Messiaen; he has given many performances of Messiaen's music, notably the massive Vingt regards sur L'Enfant Jésus/Twenty Views of the Infant Jesus. He has also performed Bartók, Debussy, Prokofiev, and Mozart; he played Bartók's second concerto at the Barbican Hall, London, in 1995.
