Böhm, Georg (1661–1733)

German composer. As a composer and organist he was an important forerunner of Johann Sebastian Bach. Before 1698 he was organist at Hamburg, then at St John's Church, Lüneburg. His works include a Passion, songs, and organ and harpsichord music.
