Babur

Babur (1483–1530)

First Great Mogul of India from 1526. He was the great-grandson of the Mogul conqueror Tamerlane and, at the age of 11, succeeded his father, Omar Sheikh Mirza, as ruler of Fergana (Turkestan). In 1526 he defeated the emperor of Delhi at Panipat in the Punjab, captured Delhi and Agra (the site of the Taj Mahal), and established a dynasty that lasted until 1858.

Mustafa Babur Hezlan called on President Asif Ali Zardari here Tuesday at the Aiwan -e - Sadr and presented him his credentials of posting in Pakistan.
His sons and grandsons Ogodei, Kuyuk, Mangu, and Kublai followed him as akhan and his great-grandnephew, Babur and Tamerlane, conquered India and Asia in the tradition of the mighty Genghis Khan.
