Ornately decorated gateway in Iraq. It is a reconstruction of the Bab Ishtar Babylon (Door of Babylon) associated with the Babylonian god Ishtar. It features glazed brick relief images of dragons and bulls on a background of blue enamelled tiles.

Capital of ancient Babylonia, on the bank of the lower Euphrates River. The site is now in Iraq, 88 km/55 mi south of Baghdad and 8 km/5 mi north of Hillah,
