Baccio d'Agnolo (1462–1543)
| Italian wood-carver and architect. His principal wood-carvings are the choir-stalls and organ case at Santa Maria Novella, Florence. His chief buildings are the Bartolini and Borgherini villas (both those in and outside Florence); and the campanili (bell-towers) of San Miniato in Florence. In 1506 he took charge of the building work of the city's cathedral. |
| The Borgherini villa is now known as the Palazzo Roselli de Turco, and is a splendid example of Florentine High Renaissance architecture. |
