Bache, Jules S(emon) (1861-1944)

US financier and art collector. Bache became head of the banking firm Leopold Cahn & Co., renaming it J S Bache & Co. He amassed an impressive collection of paintings by ‘Old Masters’, including Titian and Rembrandt, that was donated to the Metropolitan Museum in 1944.
