Gastein

Valley in the Austrian province of Salzburg, about 60 km/37 mi south of the town of Salzburg in the northern foothills of the Hohe Tauern Alpine range. Badgastein is an international spa, with Bad Hofgastein higher up the valley. The valley's scenic beauty attracts tourists.
