Many Germans settled in the Bakony (Bakonywald) and Vértes (Schildgebirge) mountains north and west of Lake Balaton (Plattensee), as well as around the town Buda (Ofen), now part of Budapest. Bakony gomba leves is a mushroom soup named after Bakony mountain, which borders Lake Balaton. The Bakony Korozott soft cheese is now packaged in an attractive shrink sleeve cup with aesthetic matt surface. |
