Balayan

Seaport in Batangas province on Luzon Island in the Philippines, situated 40 km/25 mi northwest of Batangas on Balayan Bay (an inlet of the South China Sea); population (1990) 53,900. Balayan trades in agricultural products, including coconuts, coconut oil, rice, and sugar. There is also some fishing.
