Balbi, Lodovico (1545-1604)

Italian monk, singer, and composer. He was a pupil of Porta and a singer at St Mark's, Venice, around 1570, and later at Verona Cathedral. Afterwards he worked at Venice and Padua, and retired to the Minorite monastery at Venice.

Masses, motets, and other church music; madrigals.
