Baldwin, Alec (1958– )

US actor popular during the 1980s and 1990s. He started his career in television and continued it on stage but is most famous for his films, which include Beetlejuice (1988), The Hunt for Red October (1990), and Looking for Richard (1996).

Baldwin's television credits include the soap opera The Doctors 1980–82 and the prime time series Knots Landing 1984–85. His theatre performances include Loot (1986), A Streetcar Named Desire (1992), and Hamlet (1998). Other films include Married to the Mob (1988), Miami Blues (1990), Glengarry Glen Ross (1992), Malice (1993), The Shadow (1994), Outside Providence (1999), Thomas and the Magic Railroad (2000), State and Main (2000), Pearl Harbor (2001), and Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001).
