Ballinrobe

Market town in County Mayo, Republic of Ireland; population (2002) 2,500. It is situated on the River Robe near the mouth of Lough Mask, which, with Lough Carra and Lough Corrib, is popular for brown-trout fishing. The Ballinrobe Races are held here in the third week of June.
