Balmes, Jaime Luciano (1810–1848)

Spanish religious and philosophical writer. He founded a political paper, El Pensamiento de la Nacion, in Madrid 1844. His principal works are El Protestantismo comparado con el catolicismo 1842–44, El Criterio 1845, Filosofia fundamental 1846, and Curso de filosofia elemental 1847.
