Banks, Don (1923–1980)

Australian composer. After studying at Melbourne Conservatory he went to London, England, in 1950, where he studied with Mátyás Seiber. In 1953 he went on to study with Luigi Dallapiccola in Florence, Italy, and finally settled in London.

horn concerto (1960); divertimento for flute and string trio; duo for violin and cello; violin sonata; three studies for cello and piano; Three Episodes for flute and piano.
