Barchas, Jack D (1935– )| US neurologist and psychiatrist. He was professor of psychiatry at Stanford, 1967–89, and dean for research development and for neuroscience at the University of California at Los Angeles School of Medicine (1990). His major research dealt with the relationship between behaviour and neuroregulators, chemicals that transmit information between nerve cells. |
