| There are sensors in our neck called baroreceptors which detect when you are standing up and adjust your blood pressure accordingly. When the baroreceptors are activated, signals are sent through neural pathways to the brain and interpreted as a rise in blood pressure. With vasovagal syncope, the messages sent by baroreceptors fail to get through. |
