Barraud, Henry (1900-1997)| French composer. He studied first at Bordeaux and later at the Paris Conservatory with Caussade, Dukas, and Aubert. He was expelled from the conservatory as a bad influence, but later in life turned to religion. In 1937 he was in charge of the music at the Paris World Fair; he then joined the radio service, where he rose to the post of head of the national programme in 1948. |
