Town in Renfrewshire unitary authority, Scotland, 10 km/6 mi southwest of Glasgow; population (2001) 17,300. Industries include engineering, the production of cotton textiles with associated bleach and dye processing plants, and the manufacture of porcelain and sanitaryware.
