Barthé, Richmond (1901-1989)

US sculptor. Barthé studied at the Art Institute of Chicago (c. 1920-24), and at the Art Students League, New York (1931). Based in St Anne, Jamaica, he was a painter who became a sculptor of expressive bronze works, such as Boxer (1942).
