Italian mezzo-soprano. She sang in concert before making her stage debut at Verona in 1987. From 1988 she has been heard in Italy and Germany as Rossini's Rosina, Lucilla (from La scala di seta), and Isolier; she is also much admired as Mozart's Cherubino, Despina (which she sang in Salzburg in 1993), and Cecilio (from Lucio Silia).
