basil

Plant with aromatic leaves, belonging to the mint family. A native of the tropics, it is cultivated in Europe as a herb and used to flavour food. Its small white flowers appear on spikes. (Genus Ocimum basilicum, family Labiatae.)

I found the basil oil flat and really lacking basil flavor (I didn't taste the other flavors).
Passengers may request unique culinary creations that may include a vegetable terrine with basil oil and white truffle gelee or lobster
