Batten, Adrian (1591–1637)| English organist and composer. He was a chorister at Winchester Cathedral as a boy. In 1614 he went to London as vicar-choral at Westminster Abbey and in 1626 became organist at St Paul's Cathedral. He was probably the copyist of the Batten Organbook. |
