French composer. Originally a law student, in 1936 he formed the group La Jeune France with his fellow composers André Jolivet, Daniel Lesur, and Olivier Messiaen.

Chamber

string quartet (1944); piano pieces.

Church music

Agnus Dei for soprano, chorus and orchestra.
