Bauer, Catherine (Krouse) (1905–1964)

US urban planner and housing expert. her book Modern Housing called for quality low-cost housing and led to her appointment as executive secretary of the American Federation of Labour Housing Conference. In 1937 she went to work in the US Housing Authority. Bauer was a respected voice on all areas of urban planning.
