Bajazet II (or Bayazid II) (1447–1513)

Sultan of Turkey 1481–1513. His reign was marked by continuous warfare with Hungary, Poland, Persia, Venice, and Egypt.

Bajazet II succeeded his father Muhammad II. His military exploits won few territorial gains for the Ottomans, except at the expense of Venice, and he abdicated in 1513 in favour of his rebellious youngest son, Selim.
