Bayne-Jones, Stanhope

Bayne-Jones, Stanhope (1888-1970)

US bacteriologist and medical administrator. Known primarily for his work as a medical administrator, he held a series of posts at the University of Rochester (1924-32), and was dean of the Yale School of Medicine (1935-40). He became president of the Joint Administrative Board of New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in 1947.
