Beaver County

County in southwestern Pennsylvania, northwest of Pittsburgh on the Ohio and West Virginia borders; area 1,129 sq km/436 sq mi; population (1990) 186,100. Its administrative headquarters are in Beaver; its major city is Beaver Falls. The county contains a number of industrial suburbs of Pittsburgh, including Aliquippa.
