Canadian engineer who developed hydroelectric power as a vital energy resource for industry in Canada.

Beck was born in Baden, Ontario, and educated at Galt, Ontario. He was a member of the Ontario Legislative Assembly and chairman of the Hydroelectric Power Commission.
